Hi ladies...... so I am looking to find some Tunisian recipes... as many of you know my fiancee is from Tunisia but I am having a hard time online finding recipes.... when he was her the last few weeks taking vacation from working (contractor overseas), I wanted to cook some Tunisian food and couldnt find any recipes and he was laughin at me telling me " you can find any recipes, our food is full of secrets"... yeah right... I thought hey maybe the ladies in my group could help me out ????????

Any ideas where I can find some Tunisian recipes or if anyone has some recipes they would be willing to share that would be wonderful as well.

Thanks Ladies and I hope to hear from you all soon.... oh by the way if you havent signed my guestbook - I would love to have you sign it...

  • You are welcome. I don't care much for using Google for a search engine. I have always preferred using the msn.com home page search. Although now I am using msn.co.uk which may have accounted for so many hits.

  • Are you looking for any particular recipes? I have a few and I learned quite a bit this summer when we were there.

  • I just married my Tunisian hubby and I'm learning to cook some Tunisian dishes. I have found some great recipes online... I'll try to collect some sites I've found and post them for you. I also have a few friends that live there that help me out too. My MIL is known all over Tunis and Kairouan for her cooking... I had hoped to learn more from her while I was there a few months ago for our wedding but they were constantly making me rest and relax (felt like a Queen lol) and wouldn't let me in the kitchen... my husband wanted me to come home well rested. I love everything about Tunisia especially my family there.

  • Here is one site that I go to for food names (shows pictures too because some things I ate while I was there I forgot the name of by the time I came home... lol). There is alot of other good info on this site as well. My husband's family is from Haffouz which is close to Kairouan.
