Extended Breastfeeding Mothers
I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and my ignorant doctor is trying to tell me I have to stop nursing my 13 month old. I told then unless they have a medical reason that it is dangerous to my or my unborns health I will nurse my oldest until atleast next July when she turns two. My question is has anyone nursed while pregnant or two children at once??

by doulala on Aug. 19, 2008 at 5:58 PMYes~ I nursed through the pregnancy, everyday & night. My 2nd baby was born when the first was 31 months. We tandem nursed for year and that's when the first weaned (with a teensie nudge, mostly CLW). And now the second child is still nursing a few times/day & night at 41 months (not weaning anytime soon, fo-sho). AND... duh-nuh-nuh-nuhhh---- my SIX year (straight!) BFing anniversary is this Friday (my eldest's 6th birthday)!! :-D Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers ~ strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength. Barbara Katz Rothman
