I had a woman come in today with her daughter. The daughter was looking for make up so I put it on her. The mom liked how it looked on her daughter so much I put it on her. I did not expect her to buy but wanted her to feel special. Every word out of her mouth about herself was so critical. She was close to fifty but I did not see her that way. I had to shush her about the critical thinking of herself. She did not look bad. She is a wife, a mother and a woman who works. Who has the time for make up? Plus life happens. And we age that is just how it goes.
By the time we were done she was so happy with her look. I really wanted her to feel special and she did. Her daughter bought her the make up for her birthday and that made me even more happy for her.
I had a lot of customers today but I really enjoyed putting a smile on her face. This is why I love my work with people.
