Research Paper...need input and advice....kinda pissed....Update on what she said.

I am doing online classes and one of the classes I am doing I have to write a research paper for my final project but I need to turn in my topic. The teacher had a list of topics to choose from or I had to have one approved. One topic was "why giving vaccines to children is good." For one I do not vax my child and never will. So I asked her if I could do a research paper on why vaccines are BAD for children. She told me NO, beacuse I won't have academic sources to back up my thesis, and if I do have any it will be only in certain cases. Ok so NOW I am mad to the point that I do not want to even be in this class if she is going to say that. DO you ladies have any sources for me to show her. I have some of my own books and such but would love more to show her that there is info out there. Would you be mad too...or am I over exaggerating it?

Well the teacher e-mailed me back and told me that I can't do it beacsue the books I have are not found in the library on the schools site. They have an online library and of course they do not have any books saying that vaccines are wrong..GO FIGURE!

	by antivaccinemom on Sep. 5, 2008 at 8:04 PM Yeah, I would be totally pissed!!! Buy Neil Z Miller's newest book called "Vaccine Safety Manual for Concerned Parents and Health Practitioners". It is by far the best vaccine book on the market and ONLY has medical references for his references!!! Over 1500 of them, ask her how there could be that much misinformation out there! Ok, getting pissed right now for you over this. I would take it to a higher level if she won't agree to let you do this paper because you are choosing one of her topics, just tweaking it based upon your personal belief. You CANNOT be made to write a paper that goes against your beliefs. Tell them it's a religious belief and that they're infringing on your freedom of religion. Ask her if she is making exceptions for anyone else in class on their topic. Make us all proud momma! And keep me updated. I quit the class. lol Even though it was ONLINE and I usually tolerate ignorance fairly well...but not with that many at the same time. lol So no I don't think you're over reacting! :-) Write it anyways. Like pp said wouldn't it be discriminating against religious beliefs(if thats the case)

	by USAF.Wife on Sep. 5, 2008 at 9:02 PM i would be PISSED! im sorry but vaccinations being good is an OPINION.how can a teacher expect everyone to have the same opinion? there are NO safe vaccinations.maybe while writing about how vaccines are supposed to help prevent diseases you could throw in a list of the side effects of them too...alot say death as a side effect. hell while your at it, throw in a list of the ingredients of each vaccine.
