Reasons I don't vaccinate...Posted in 'advise for moms'

Hey ladies someone posted asking why some moms don't vax. This is what I wrote. Hopfully I represented our group well. :) Thought I would share.

I do not vaccinate because contrary to what is said by medical professionals....the benefits do NOT outweigh the risks.

1.) I have thouroughly educated myself on all of the diseases and do not find the statistics to be nearly as 'morbid' as the CDC always portrays them to be. (For instance: Polio: only 2% of people that Contract polio have any long term paralytic effects and only 0.2% needed an 'iron lung'. The CDC reports on the disease like it will definately paralyze you and possibly kill you.) I have found these 'alarmist' type statement true of all of the diseases.

2.) I also have looked at US vital statistics to see the history of diseases and there death rates PRIOR to vaccine introduction (1900-1945)and it is plainly seen that those diseases had already declined between 50-90%, so CLEARLY vaccines were NOT responsible for 'erradicating' diseases as we have been told.

3.) NO long term safety studies have been done on any of the vaccines nor have any of them ever been tested for "mutinagenic, carcinogenic effects , or effects on fertility" according to the manufacturer's package inserts.  In reading countless vaccine ‘safety studies' I have found those that have been tested for ‘short' term safety (1-4weeks post vaccination) typically do not even use a true ‘placebo' in their study which  nullifies those studies  from being ‘scientific'. (the placebo usually consists of a neurotoxin type adjuvant OR a different vaccine.) Why in the world would I want MY child to become a ‘test' subject?

4.) No studies have  EVER been done to prove Vaccines to be "Clinically Effective" (not ‘efficacy' which simply tests for the presents of antibodies but does not determine whether or not you can become infected by that disease.) On the contrary there are MANY incidences of 'outbreaks' documented in Fully Vaccinated populations.

5.)Vaccines are loaded with chemicals that have been proven in numerous studies to cause Neurological and immune system damage as well as cancer , fertility and behavioral problems.

So on top of the fact that my child has an extremely slim chance of dying from any of the diseases that he may or may not be exposed to, and allowing him to be a ‘test' subject for a vaccine which has never been proven safe and may or may not even prevent him from getting an illness... I would also be exposing him to numerous KNOWN neurotoxins and carcinogenic chemicals that over time could cause who knows what kind of damage!

I think the real question to ask ourselves is "Why WOULD we WANT to vaccinate?"

If anyone is interested in CDC documents, medical journals, and US statistics proving the above points please feel free to message me. I'm happy to give any and all references. :)

I really love this post, first of all because one of the reasons I was on the fence about vaccinating and ended up having my son vaccinated up until 4 months was because of statement 2 that you gave. I always thought, well, people were dying from diseases in large numbers until vaccines came about. I see now that there is evidence to prove otherwise and i am really interested in this.

I also find it amazing that they wonder why ppl are questioning the flu vaccine right now, when over the summer it was found that the gardasil vaccine was killing young girls. alot of them. If that isn't a hugely in your face example for 2009, I dont know what is. HOw many times did I see that damn commercial, and now.....oopssssss

anyway thanks for this post, it was really great, and I would love the sources you have, for my own benefit and also so I can make my family understand WHY I feel the way I do, and to stop the arguments that I am "reading too much on the internet" and paranoid.

I've noticed a lot of moms looking for advice really just want to back up what they already think or spark a debate...
