A lot of people around me have been talking about it, some have gotten it. Infact my sister might have it and we were around her when she was sick. I'm still not worried about it. Am I the only one?

Now my daughter is 2, I'm definitely ready for her to start strengthening her immune system by fighting off sicknesses naturally, so nope - not scared.
Actually, my dad *might* have it, he'd never go to the docs to check - but me and my sister think it could be H1N1 - and that's not stopping me from going around to cheer him up.
To be honest I'd rather have it and fight it off so I could just say - look, it's the flu, it's not the fricking plague.
Not afraid of it here. I think it's all WAY overdone and nothing more than a money maker for big pharma and it's partners.

I'm not worried either. Every day at kindergarten drop off and pick up though, it seems that's all anyone can talk about! (Yet, when we went to a birthday party this weekend with those same people, everyone was flabbergasted that I was using hand sanitizer on all of the kids hands before they ate lunch. They were all like "Oh! What a great idea!" Honestly, people! You're all willing to drive to the ends of the earth to shoot your kids up with the vaccine, but can't be bothered to consider basic hygiene?!?!) I had some flu last month, maybe it was H1N1. It stunk to be sick, but oh well. I don't look forward to anyone in my family being ill, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. We'll just keep taking preventative care of ourselves the same way we do every day of the year!

thats true and I think I need to be more on top of that too. The only problem is that hand sanitizer isn't good for young kids, but just in general having antibacterial soap isn't the best either because it does break down the immune system, just something to consider.

No not really. Every once in a while I start to worry just cause my youngest is only 10 months but she is still BF'ed and in great health. :)
I worry, I have a 7 month old, and he is not breastfeed and never was.....and how many stories I have heard about young children dying...I worry bc at this young age, i cant be sure that my child does not have asthma or won't develop it.....so he could have problems I do not even know about.

same here....i cant believe people are freaking out soooo bad...
im not worried. my fiance had it about a month ago. he was sick for a week, got tamiflu and then immediatly got better. we have a one year old son. neither me or my son got it. my son was slightly sick, a low fever but only lasted two days so it wasnt the same thing my fiance had (high fever 103+). im hoping that both my son and i have a high tolerance or something to it, or that now that we have been exposed, we have built some immunity (though i think we must have had some in the first place). im not worried, just as i wasnt before. we would never get a vaccine for something like that
