Not that I would ever wish an illness on anyone, but...

My sister in law got the swine flu shot. I never said anything to her about it. She put it on her facebook status and said something snippy about people who don't vax (I don't remember what she said just).

She knows I don't vax- I have stuff on my facebook page about it.

My whole family knows and it is apoint of contention between us- everyone thinks I'm wrong. When I saw that she said on her facebook that she got the swine flu vax, I said to myself, "I cannot afford to get sick right now, the kids and I are staying away from them for the next few weeks" and I declined a dinner invitation because of it.

I am not paranoid about swine flu at all, I just don't want to get sick if I don't have to.

Well anyway, her facebook status this morning says, "I got the swine flu shot and now I have swine flu- that did not work out well."

Poor think is miserable and I wouldn't wish illness on anyone, ever. But  I feel so vindicated.

i totally understand where you're coming from...but does she even get it?  or is she probably thinking "i was probably sick before the shot and it's finally just coming about" or whatever....oh some people..

I wouldn't ever wish it on anyone either. It sucks people have to find out the hard way. Dr. Tenpenny made the comment that went something like It's sad people have to taste the bullet before they know how bad it is. Or something like that and I couldn't agree with her more.

It would be hard to resist posting "I agree."

Yes, curious to see whether she "gets it".

I am heartbroken because my dearest friend's mother, 93 years old but superbly healthy and sharp as ever ordinarily, was coaxed into getting the shot. She has been sick for a month after and hospitalized for the past 3 weeks. She almost bloody DIED because of the @#$ shot. I'm sorry, it makes me so mad. And of course the doctors won't even CONSIDER that she got sick because of the shot. She wants to sleep a lot now. I am praying she doesn't die from this.

So obviously I don't wish it on anyone, especially innocent people who don't know any better. But when someone comes down on US for "endagering everyone else" by not vaxing our kids... you know. Vindication is a good word.

I find it funny how all the people who get vaxed think we are endangering them. In reality they are endangering us. I have told people the only time I or my children have gotten the flu we got the vax. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm do you think there may be a correlation? Most people dealing with this say 1 + 1 = 3. I guess I just can see things differently than most.

Oh  no! I will pray for her also. That is sooo sad! We need to watch out for our elderly, not coax them into getting something they know nothing about!

My coworker is getting the swine flu vaccine. I really really don't want to work in a confined room with her afterwards. Ugh. I work at a daycare and so many of the kids are getting it. I hate being around it, but its just something that comes with the job. I try to keep the windows open and the kids outside as much as possible!

I don't understand the point of vaccinating yourself to prevent a disease, just to come down with whatever illness anyways!! That being said, I don't understand the point of vaccinating at all lol
