Since Tuesday nite my 3 yr old has ahd a bit of a cough. Last nite he had a fever of like 102 and we road it out. He is more hoarse today and of course he feels worse at nite. I have been doing sambuccal, sodium ascorbate and I just started collodial silver. It seems he is uncomfortable and I hate the thought of givin him motrin. Any other suggestions? I wish he would sit and drink some tea & honey with momma but he won't

My son has the same problem, and I spoon feed him honey. It seems to help his cough. I'm scared to injest colloidal siver anymore, but have been giving him diatomaceous earth (food grade). I wish I had been giving him that more often, because it helps me to get over colds so quick ever since I started taking it myself. Good luck!

My daughter takes D3 daily and maybe coincidence but I swear it made her cold go away much faster and it didn't even progress into a bad cold like mine  was. Let him stand in steamy shower w/ you or a humidifier. I wish my daughter would drink tea when sick too but she also refuses. I try not to give Tylenol to my daughter but when she's sick I must admit I give it to her at bedtime if sh seems uncomfortable so she can rest well for a day or two when she's at her worst. Other than that I can only think to keep pushing fluids and plenty rest.

P.S. Off topic but could I *steal* your quote? I'd be happy to quote your name with it. =)

Have you tried any medical grade essential oils with him?  I rub my kids down with eucalyptus for any respiratory issues.  Also Lavender, Tei Fu, Pine and Thyme are good and you can rub it right onto the chest or if too strong on the bottom of the feet. My all natural cough syrup remedy is Lobelia Extract, Tei Fu, Capsicum Extract mixed w honey and lemon.  I have other home remedies if your interested, I can share them. :)  flock4now@yahoo.com

Take care and I hope he feels better soon.

I use a lavender/euclypytus rub on my kids when they have a cold with respitory issues, such as a cough or chest cold.  Seems to help.  Also, I will give mine a spoonful of honey to eat, which seems to help tremendously.  I also boost their D3, C and give them elderberry when they are sick.  Oh, I just started using Umcka as well for colds, my dd has a cold right now and these remedies work wonders.

If he is congested, you can use salt/water drops for his nose.  If really helps.
