My mother wrote me an email about this today. Here is the link:

Stories like this just prove our point even more! It is good ammo for when someone argues with you about your choice to not vaccinate. These kids were getting mumps even though they were vaccinated for it!!! Uh Hello America!!! This should open some eyes! What is the point of injecting our children with poison when they still get the disease!! Goodness gracious! It is truly ridiculous that people give us such a hard time about not vaccinating!
There is my little vent of the day! My moms friend at work is a vaccinating fanatic and so she sends my mom stuff about how not vaxing is soooooo horrible! Well boo ya to her obviously its not that great!!! :)
PS: This is the article from October but my mother said she heard on the news today that the count is up to 1,000.
Quote:
Curiously, health officials in both states said that most of those sickened had been fully vaccinated against the disease.
Curiously...
"Most of those infected are between 10 and 15 years old"
Hmmmm....perhaps that's about when artifical immunity wanes??
Quoting Tauna1208:

"Symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue and swelling of the salivary glands."OMG - can you imagine the horror of these terrible, life-threatening symptoms?! Oh yeah, that shot is soooo worth it. (sarcasm)
lol!
i dont like the article b/c it states later that it was prob from a child who was visiting from Great Britian where they usually dont vaccinate. Once again blaming US not their precious miracle shot
