I have a horrible infection. It started with my ear piercing and i guess my body is just rejecting it and now my whole damn ear and the areas around my ear are swollen and red, and very painful. I went to the doctors (which is usually something i try to avoid) and he wanted to give me a shot of anti-biotics. I declined and he gave me a perscription for oral anti-biotics. ...But mentioned that if it's not better in 2 days or so, that i should come back and get the shot.
...Well, what's in it? When i tried to google it all i come up with was flu and swine flu vaccine ingredients. ...but i'm very tired (been sick this week too) so maybe i'm missing something or not googling the correct words? idk. But i'd like to know what is in the shot before i consider using it to rid myself of this painful infection.

I believe the shot he wants to give you is called Ceftriaxone (Rocephin) it's the most common used injectable antibiotic. Try to google Ceftriaxone and you should find info on it.

Thanks! I looked it up and all is in it is the anti-biotics and water. Or at least that's all i could find on it. I'm going to ask the doc too because my infection is still not doing so well and i'm pretty sure they're gonna wanna shoot me up. and at this point ...bring it! lol
