We have a 4 year old who is fully vaccinated (except spreading her 4th year vaccines out over the year..) I fully believed in vaccines until a year or so ago I learned just enough to terrify my but I'm still too scared not to vaccinate her but I like, hold my breath every time. She had her last round in November, then her little sister was born on nov. 11th. Her attitude has changed and she had a random seizure on nov 28th I believe. Nothing since and so far all her tests are normal. We meet with a pediatric neurologist in march. Anyway, I can't help but wonder if the attitude shift and seizure were from the vaccines. (I KNOW the attitude shift is from her new sibling invading her space lol but I still can't help but wonder anyway.)
Okay, now I want to vaccinate teeny babe, she just turned 3 months. We gave her one round of oral vit k at birth then no more and she didn't get the hep b vaccine and didn't get any shots at her 2 month appt bc her doc wasn't comfortable with the alt vaccine schedule. I'm scared every time we take her somewhere or someone comes around her. I know that babies aren't vaccinated against everything right away anyway and we rely on the herd thing or whatever but I just can't help but worry. I'm scared to vaccinate her and scared not to, just like with our 4 year old. What am I supposed to do? I don't need bashing, I just need advice. I bought the vaccine book and haven't had a chance to read much of it.
Any advice or help would be very appreciated.
Thanks

Don't do anything until you have had  chance to do some research for yourself about the issue...you can always give them later, but you can't take them back once they're injected.  just simply tell the dr you are delaying for now and don't get into a discussion with him over it or he may think he has to "win" it....imo, the herd immunity is a myth...why are SO MANY parent who have their kids vaxed, then are afraid of the non vaxed?  Non vaxed kids are NOT walking pools of disease, if anything,  its the other way around, and the vaxed kids are pools of disease...diseases that are mutating BECAUSE of the vaccines and other environmental things.  not to mention, fully vaxed kids coming down with exactly the disease they were vaxed for........i will post some links later, if someone doens't get to it before me.

I agree with AP. Do ur research. I can tell u my experience. DS is unvaxed completely, he'll be 5 in may. He is NEVER sick. I mean it. If he gets anything, it's a minor cold w/ low grade fever (never over 100.0) and last maybe 2-3 days! We took him EVERYWHERE! I mean it. He was at Target at 4 days old, daycare from 2-6 months old w/ lots of other babies, Disneyland at 10 months, and everywhere else! Mcdonalds, the zoo, the park, animal petting places, i mean EVERYWHERE! The key is yo feed them healthy (lots of fruits and veggies!!) and give them their vitamins. Ds just takes the super hero ones from Walmart and a Vitamin C during cold and flu seasons. I have never doubted my decision, and I'm 10w preggo w/ #2 and plan to not vax him/her either. I have seen w/ my own 2 eyes the horrors of Vaccines. From SIDS, to seizures, to Autism, to neurological issues. No thank u! I'll pass. I could never forgive myself if they got something like that from a vaccine I CHOSE to give them. :(

GL Hun and just do ur research. Don't listen to the news, or family, or anyone really. U HAVE TO MAKE UR OWN DECISION AND HAVE UR OWN OPINIONS!! :)

Some websites to look at:

www.mercola.com

www.nvic.org

drtenpenny.com

I'm sure AP has other sites. Dr. Sears is pro-vax, so he's going to encourage you to vax, but on his alternative schedule. Some other vax books to look into are Vaccinations: a thoughtful parent's guide by Aviva Jill Romm and What your Doctor may not tell you about children's vaccinations by Stephanie Cave. I think Stephanie Cave's book was more balanced than Dr. Sear's book. I haven't read the first one yet, but reviews have said she leans anti-vax. PLEASE don't read anything by Dr. Paul Offit! He is SO pro-vax that he thinks a child can receive many vaccines (more than they already do) at once and it have no ill effects. He has ties to the pharmaceuticals, so I think his views are swayed by money.

I vaxed my first two through age 2. Thankfully, they haven't had any obvious problems, but I do think all of my kids have been healthier since I stopped. My third I have not and will not vax. Wish I had never vaxed any of them. The mainstream medical community hasn't really been thoroughly educated on vaccines. Educate yourself and don't trust the media and mainstream medical community for your information. Look beyond that.

I love Dr. Mercola's site.

Both my children are 100% injection free. They NEVER EVER EVER get sick. I listen to others constantly talk about their sick kids and then turn around and preach at me that their kids are the healthiest kids the doctor has seen and how they don't understand how mine could possibly be healthy. Every conversation convinces me more that vaccines are the deep root of all health problems.

I cried, A LOT when my daughter was born. I truly did not know enough. Doctors told me I would have a dead baby if I didn't vaccinate. I would hold her and pray I wasn't killing her by not vaccinating. But I had one friend who gave me my research while pregnant that helped me realize my maternal instincts were to not vaccinate. I stuck with my instincts and I'm glad I did. What I know now disgusts me. I want to slap nurses that hold down infants to inject them with poison. I want to cut off the hands of any doc who comes near my kids with a needle. I am that mom in day care butting in to tell another parent that she doesn't have to send her kids home who aren't up to date. I'm the mom that got kicked out of the doctors office when two docs in the practice cornered me in a patient room to try to inject my son. Vaccines make me angry.

Keep looking. You can't undo a vaccine.

These ladies have given you GREAT advice. I came on here while I was pregnant to see and do research. I am so glad I did. I don't regret my decision one bit. I am new to not vaccinating. I have a child with ADHD and Autism.  He has had Phnemonia, he is always sick, I feel terrible for him. My middle child gets terrible when she gets sick. Seems like I need to pull her out of school twice a month for one thing or another. My baby that is now 6 months old has only had the cold. Oh and my older two had ear infections at her age too. From birth I have had problems with them.  My baby hasn't had an ear infection, she is happy, alert, and I couldn't feel better. I hope you are able to do all your research. Oh and right when you think you are done researching you find anothe ravenue to explore. I am still looking into it but I WILL NEVER vaccinate another baby again. Way too much risk in it. Just think how did we come to be without vaccines?  Nature has a way of curing itself. I am going to start checking into NP as well.  IHope you are able to find the answers you are seeking.

My oldest dd was vac'd and my 2 ds haven't been. My dd has had pnemonia so badly she had to have part of her lung removed when she was 19 months. She also has allergies. Neither of my boys has either of these issues. Looks pretty suspisous to me. I am constantly apologizing to her for getting her shots, every time she gets a cold her brothers don't get,or if they do it's mild and over sooner.  ):
