But either way, yes, a doula will stay with you.
Do not allow baby out of your sight ever! If baby needs to leave the room for any reason, have dad or doula or friend or someone go with him. ALWAYS. A parent has final say over where a minor child is/medical care etc, NOT doctor.
I had a c section for my third. I tried for a VBAC ( long story as to why I didn't) I had my husband follow my baby to the nursey and waited for me in the recovery room. I didn't allow for her to be without me. When they took her ot the nursery for checks that couldn't be done in room. I didn't have her unaccompanied at any time.
I was afraid they would vaccinate her as well. I am glad my Dh knew enough to say no to the eye goop. He didn't even ask me. :) Always have someone with your LO. Nurses will be sneaky because nurses know better than mom or dad, sigh.
My next I am planning a home birth with midwife. Can't wait.

First, consider a vbac if that's an option for you. The site I keep seeing for this is ican.com I think.

Oh a VBAC is always safer than repeat section. Talk to midwives. I have read books that a woman had her baby like a month after her due date. YOu can do it. ALso like PP said check out ICAN
Heb B is now given at birth. They also get the Vit K shot - not really a vaccine, but many non-vaxers also refuse that.
Quoting Bigtwig:I'm confused. What vaccines do they give at birth? My children never had any and I vax'd my first until I knew better.
Get a doula!! One that is in agreement with you and can keep a close eye on baby.
i had a doula....i advise the same

Choosing Not to Vaccinate-proud group owner
I agree. Find a doula who is in agreement (or at least will honor your decisions) and make sure she will stay with baby and you until you are fully able to interact with the hospital staff in your right mind (no longer drousy, drug induced).
