i like how the article contradicts itself

first line: (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The first cases of a vaccine-resistant strain of whooping cough have been found in the U.S.

Near the bottom of the article:  Experts don't think this strain is more deadly, but the shots may not work as well against it.

I'm just wondering if they made this up as an excuse as to why the vaccine isn't working. They can't figure out how to make the vaccine work, so to avoid losing the faith of the public, blame it on a new germ.

OR, they have inadvertently engineered this new strain through their trials and errors with the vaccine...
