We had an Er trip tonight and thus far (2 1/2) hour in not once were we asked dd's vax status. Dd swallowed an errant screw ( small tiny little thing) before we could get it away from her. I am totally amazed.

Please excuse my typos. I baby wear at the computer and I have to type around a bobbing head.

Yes, that is pretty amazing alright, since the first thing they usually ask is about status.    Maybe they just assumed she was up to date...i've had that happen too..ER's assume the child or person is up to date, and don't bother asking, because their problem has nothing to do with being vaxed.  The only time i was asked about it was when i went to the ER for a dog bite...other than that, trips to the ER for asthma, status was never asked.

Wow! My son sees a lot of specialists and they almost always ask. Nobody has ever made a fuss about yet though. We had an ER visit once and I just said we are delaying to avoid a conversation about it. Lol

Wow, that is surprising. When we took DD to the ER at 6 months, that was the first thing the triage nurse asked. I was surprised that no one told me she was sick because she wasn't vaxed, though. I kept expecting to hear about it, but after the nurse gave me a dirty look, that was it.

Well Dd did scratch her esophagus and we were discharged with feeding instructions but nope the vax was never mentioned once.  I was sure they would since it was a screw and that they would play the tetanus card but nothing.

Wow - in a good way.

We had an er trip 2 weeks ago (turned out to be nothing major) and was asked about vax status twice.
