Hi everyone, I'm so thankful for this groups! So my son is 3 months old and has only gotten hept b. I skipped his two month check up to avoid the shots. As it is I am already not all the way comfortable with his pediatrician. I recently got him checked and his fine only thing is that he is very colicky and may have a bit of acid reflux. They scheduled his shots that he missed at 2 months for next week. However I plan on canceling that app. I have been advised to spread the shots and only two a time. But even then I don't feel comfortable I am very concerned of a bad side affect I know that here on California if kids are not up to their shots they can not attend school so that's a concern of mine. I really need some advice ???

California has exemptions available, so whoever told you kids had to have shots to go to school obviously doesn't know the law.  There is a link to the laws here in this forum towards the top... and you can't undo a vaccine once it's done...you can delay them and go get them later, after you've done some research, and for now, i'd cancel that appt next week.  DON'T do it unless  you are absolutely sure.  And, if you don't like his pedi, switch to someone who respects your decisions as mom, and doens't try to use fearmongering or scare tactics on you to get you to vaccinate.

here is a link to the inserts so you can see the poison they deem is "safe" to inject into your child

http://vactruth.com/vaccine-inserts/

Here are some questions to answer for yourself in deciding about vaccination:

1. Name of the disease
2. Description of the disease
3. Length of time from initial infection to end of all symptoms
4. Infectious period
5. Normal symptoms of the disease
6. Known serious consequences of the disease
7. Proportion of persons infected developing serious consequences
8. Transmission route of the disease
9. Prevalence of the disease
10. Treatments of the disease and efficacy of those treatments
11. Relevant research about the disease
12. Name of the vaccine
13. Company that makes the vaccine
14. Contents of the vaccine
14A. The significance of whether or not the vaccine is live
15. History of development of the vaccine
16. Known side-effects of the vaccine and rate of incidence of those side-effects
17. Possible side-effects not yet acknowledged by the vaccine maker
18. Relevant research into the vaccine
19. How effective is the vaccine at preventing the disease?
20.What is the vaccine meant to do? (Many vaccines are not meant to prevent infection or transmission).
21.Number of cases reported each year.
22.Number of deaths reported each year from the vaccine and natural disease.

If you don't like your Pediatrician or are feeling pressured, find a new practitioner.  My children's insurance covers Naturopaths, and they are perfectly qualified to conduct well-child check-ups.  Plus, they *might* be more understanding of your concerns.

I was told that my child couldn't attend pre-school in my state without being totally vaccinated.  Do they really believe we don't study the laws ourselves?!

I see you are a new member, Welcome! If you are not comfortable vaccinating don't do it! You can't take back what has been done if vaccinate but you can always research andvaccinate later if you chose to do so. There is nothing wrong with taking the time to make an educated decision, if you doctor can't respect that you want to have time to become fully informed before making a decision then you need to find a new doctor.  My son had acid reflux and colic when he was very young, I took him to a chiropractor and saw a large improvement. It's worth trying.

I believe California has all three exemptions. West Virginia and Mississippi are the ONLY states you have to vaccinate, unless medically you can't.

Don't do any until you're sure. Definitely don't continue the hep b. Its an STD, or IV drug disease.
Children are not at risk.

Are you asking what a Naturopath is?  (Naturopata)

The last sentence referrs to the lies and misinformation that people in positions of power spread to scare us into vaccinating.  A doctor told me I could not put my children into school without vaccinations.  I looked into the laws of my state and found out that that doctor was lying to me.

I am so glad I didn't not go forward with any other shots, I have done some research and I am so disgusted and saddened by the truth. I feel horrible that he got that one shot. But I'm very happy he will not be getting anymore. I will be looking into those exceptions. Thank you
