Alright, first off my name is Brittany and I am 24 weeks pregnant with my first child, a son. I have been bouncing back and forth about my desicion on breast feeding and I am kind of stumped. Is it possible to pump breast milk the WHOLE time you breast feed??? I want my baby to have my milk and of course the very best but just the very thought of breast feeding makes me cringe. Is this normal? Is there a way around breast feeding without him having to take it straight from me? Can I just pump it and give it to hm that way? Your thoughts and advice is greatly appreciated!!!

Absolutely you can pump and give him your breastmilk in a bottle, it's still breastmilk!!  I am breastfeeding but I also pump to stock up for when I go back to work so that he's still getting the boob juice.

I am a postpartum nurse... It is perfectly acceptable to pump only and give the baby the breast milk in a bottle. Just want to warn you how time consuming this is-- 15 minutes per breast, plus feeding time, every three hours. Do what works best for you, though. I would recommend taking a breastfeeding class if one is offered in your area. Good luck!
