okay I'm in the hospital now because I had Jason Alan well he nursed on and off from 6-9pm then went to sleep sence that he's gone to the bathroom 3 times and I have tryed to nurse him sence but I was falling asleep an my nurse said get some sleep so I did a nurse just came ingiving me crap for the 2nd time! saying I need to feed him more am if he doesn't nurse soon there going to give him a bottle.. well I told her No there Not!! how often did your little ones while in hospital on first day nurse?

It's best to try nursing every 2-3 hrs in the beginning, but I'm of the opinion that you don't wake a sleeping baby.  My middle child slept through the night in the hospital.  They gave me a hard time, too, but he never got a bottle.  His weight was always great and he nursed for 14 mo.  The only way I'd consider waking to nurse is if he's very small.
