Hi Everyone,
My name is Shelly. I have a 13 month old named Asa. I breastfed him for 9 months. It was such a great experience. I stopped because we were planning baby #2 (due in Sept.).
If you are a new mom, keep at it. It gets easier. I remember the first few weeks I was so sore. I would tear up when I knew it was time to feed my son. 9 months later I was crying when I decided to stop.
I am hoping I can encourage new moms to keep trying to BF. I could also use some advise on pumping when baby #2 comes in Sept. I didn't pump with Asa.

I would suggest to start pumping around 37 weeks... I did this- it is ok just ask your dr... it will toughen up your nipples and won't make you as sore. I did this with baby #2 and haven't had sore nipples yet -- she is 6 weeks

Hello, I'm Jennifer, currently BF our 4th baby. She's 5 months old. i nurse till they are around 12 months. Never had a baby with a bottle, never plan too.
I'm more than happy to answer any questions. The biggest reason moms give up, is lack of support. They don't know how to fix the problem. Be sure to latch on right and it will go much smoother. Drink, drink and drink water too. My MIL nursed all 8 of hers and she was a HUGE help. She's been thru it all.
Give them your best start!
