Hello ladies! We are moving to AK in a few months and I have heard that Anchorage doesn't get as cold as most places in AK, is this true? I am from Denver so I am used to the snow and have the average coats and boots but do we need something "warmer" ?? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

The weather is pretty comparable so you won't have an issue there. The light and dark of winter and summer can be hard to get used to but some people don't notice.
