  • Hello,
My name is eDee. I purchase royalty free stock photos for the websites I build.
I purchase between 5 to 10 photos per site. I don't always use all of them, but I find I use them else where as time goes on.

Also, I have a website to help moms getting started in their own business. I have free ad space up for grabs for those who have their own websites. So if you sell photos, you are in business for yourself, have a website and you’d like a little free ad space on a website that will be features on the nightly news on April 29, feel free to email me. Or visit my site at www.works4mom.com

I hope it will be alright if I request photos now and again.
    ~eDee

  • Hi!  My name is Sandy. I owned a photo studio but moved and didn't have the money to start over.  That was 12 years ago and I am just starting back up.  The name of my business is Sandy's Shotz and I am looking forward to expanding my horizons!!!!

  • Hi, I'm Shannon! I am a stay at home mom to three, and a photographer. We live in Florida, and love it!

I am just pretty much starting my business...and I just landed a job with another local photographer who is going to "take me under her wing!" and train me even more! I am so excited about that! She's been in the biz for over 25 years, and has built a good name for herself!

Anywho...I have my own microsite on Photoshelter, right now, where I am selling some of my work. I have not sold anything yet...but I am positive & hopeful.

That's the thing about stock photography...it's a slow moving business with tons of competition!

  • Hi, I'm Marianne and I guess I'm the baby here.  I've loved taking pics since I was 9 (I'm 44) have 3 girls and now that some of them are becoming more self-sufficient, my passion has been consuming me.  I have a new digital slr and I'm dying to get outside to start on my stock photography.  I plan on starting a business but not until next year after I have all my ducks in a row.  I'm going to take a couple of classes on starting my own business, need to build up some stock for my business.  I travel to Maui every other year and will be going back next year w/my new camera to build some stock.  I know the name I want and am writing down every new idea I have for my business.  I know what my logo is going to look like and I've googled my biz. name and no one has it so I"m glad about that.  I'm here to learn from all of you about stock photography.  I'm almost done w/my paralegal degree so I'll be looking for work in a firm that does taxes and helps people just like me.  (free legal advice!)  My daughter is attending University of Michigan college of Engineering for computers.  She loves to design websites (free tech!) and my husband is working on his MBA (free accounting!).  I'm very organized and don't want to start my biz until I feel I know everything about running a biz so that I'm straight w/the IRS.  I just need to perfect my manual skills so I can join you "professionals".    (I took my avatar pic on Maui w/my P&S years ago).  Don't judge me by the photos on my page, I'm still learning how to use my camera.  I worked in portrait studios back when I was 18 for 10 years.  My pics sold, I didn't have to talk people into buying them but we were limited as to what we could do.  I know God is on my side and I feel that I will be successful enough to quit my future paralegal job that I get.  But, I gotta make money to spend it on my biz, so while I'm a paralegal, my paychecks will be going for my passion.
