So, what did everyone think of the last few episodes.  I thought it started getting really good at the end of last year as things went all crazy inside the dollhouse.  Lots of twists and betrayals that I did not see coming.  Like Boyd being one of the Rossom founders...dude, did not see that coming.

I liked how Adele sided with Echo and as the episodes progressed showed how much she actually cared for the dolls under her care.  She became the mother hen trying to hold her family together and take Rossom down at the same time and then betrayed by one of her closest confidants (Boyd).  Topher stepped up, too, and became willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the group showing much growth.

The last episode, though...wow.  Not even sure where to begin.  I like it and it kind of wrapped things up but was so confusing.  It felt like it jumped into the middle of the season from an entirely different show and I felt they needed at least 2 hours to explain it all...or maybe a full movie (or two).

I didn't really get what the significance of the 2 people at the beginning other then they were trying to get the little girl out of LA (that was all gathered from the quick flashback montage at the beginning and stuff they said later on) although it was cool to see Felicia Day in another Joss production.  I don't think they added anything to the plot at all and weren't used for anything really.  The girl (with Caroline's identity) were supposed to be important but it feels like they cut that bit out to fit into the 1 hour slot.

That was the basic feeling for the whole beginning of the episode...like we were missing something because it got cut.  Things made a little more sense and were more coherent once they decided to head back to LA.

All in all it was an interesting episode but I felt cheated out of at least another hour of content.  And was utterly traumatized that they killed off Paul and Topher.  Adele was so attached to Topher by the end.  To see her go from the strong, bitchy head of the dollhouse to being the "mom" and worrying about everyone was great.  She was still strong but in a completely different way and she obviously loved and cared greatly for Topher (and everyone else under her care...I guess maybe she felt responsible in some way).

Also suprised to see Alpha there as a "good" guy all reformed and everything.  That cracked me up and I totally knew he was going to go nuts on those tech guys while they were holding Topher hostage.

So, yeah.  Great ending of the show.  As usual, though, it left me wanting more.  they could do a whole show just explaining how they ended up in post-apocolypse world in 10 years and how they have to rebuild.  Okay, maybe a couple movies would be cool.

I totally agree!  I saved it so I can watch it a few more times and try to figure it out...
