Angel or Spike?

I love asking Buffy fans which male they liked better. With Buffy? And why?

I would say SPIKE. I love him for not only his wit and honesty, but for the fact that he can see through the crap and is quite persecptive. He loves all of Buffy. Angel is too brooding. He is depressing and bring Buffy down too much. Spike keeps her on her toes. And James Marsters is HOT!

When I first started watching (in 2007) I would have said Angel.  But then I finished both series (several times) and now I think Spike was better for Buffy.  Buffy + Angel=DRAMA!

For someone who was 240+ years he sure was a drama queen.  Even my kids agree.

Plus I'm an Angel/Cordy shipper so...

(PS...did you catch James Marsters on Numbe3rs the other night?)

I still say Angel.  But that's because I find him way hotter than Spike (and, sorry, I hated Angel with Cordelia.) 

That said, I did catch Numb3rs last week.  :O)

I didn't, but I am going online tonight to find that episode. Was he hot on the show? I'll bet he was hot! I totally agree that Buffy and Angel equals drama.

I've been a Spike and Buffy fan since day one! I love Angel on his own show but while he was on Buffy, God he was annoying. lol. I mean he was hot and broody and awww we want to fix him, but come on!  I loved Cordy and Angel together as well. But I think that Spike works for Buffy much better then Angel becuase he doens't take her crap. He puts up with it then shells out his own. They have an open and honest relationship. Oh not to mention he went and got a soul for her and went insane! I mean, Angel was cursed with a soul and when he went bad again he was an ass! But Spike was supposed to be bad the whole time and yet he still fell in love with Buffy. I mean sure he was chipped but he still loved her for her and was a very sweet guy really when you think about it. Plus, Dawn... I mean he was great with her. That's great.... o.k. enough rambling. :)

And I think Joyce liked Spike way more than Angel. Angel emotionaly screwed with Buffy while Spike simply tried to kill her. And not only that, but he was honest about that encounter when asked about it.

Joyce: "Have I seen you somewhere?"

Spike: "Uh yeah you hit me with an axe once, 'get the hell away from my daughter'"

Joyce: "Oh. Do you live here in town?"

And then the time in Lover's Walk where she was listening to his sob story about Dru. With the little marshmellows

I'll bet she never gave little marshmellows to Angel *sticks out tongue*

I totally AGREE.  Spike had great relationships with everyone.  From Dru to Buffy, Dawn to Joyce, even Willow, Xander, Anya and Giles.  He was great.

And then he went over to Angel and I liked him just as much (especially when he was a ghost driving Angel insane).

 This was one of the FUNNIEST shows of the season. "Were in a band...Joyce says 'What do you do? Spike and Buffy say at the same timeUh drums-sings.Great show

Well I'm in the Spike fan club too. I appreciate his wit, and I like that he doesn't pretend to like anyone. In fact he hates everyone. But yet he's still drawn to them (via Buffy I'll admit). I also think his character before he became a vampire is by far the funniest transformation on the show...

God, he was such a weakling. Like the weird kid you'd pick on in elementary school, but then transformed into a mega badass. It's awesome.
