Yeast Question

I do use a Bread Machine to make my bread, but I would like to make some by hand.

My question is, I have yeast that I store in the fridge.  Should I measure out what I need & let it sit out until it's room temperature or can I add it to the warm water straight from the fridge?

I agree, I just add it to the warm water.  I think the yeast is the only thing i don't bring to room temp!

when i first started making amish white bread i found out that the bread rose better if the yeast was at room temp.
