I have a 19 y.o. that refuses to get a job, help out around the house, or just be responsible in general. He was given a 3 month notice that if he didn't have a job by Oct. 1st, he was going to have to leave my house....well it is almost that time and he does not have a job. I will make him leave, but I am terribly worried about what he is going to do, where he is going to go, etc.....tough love is very tough

I think you are doing a good thing. My mom kicked me out two weeks before graduation on mothers day because she didnt want to come home and see me. There was no notice, no preperation. I am glad to know that some mothers are able to be rational. He will be okay. After a while, the freeloader wagon will make its last stop and he will have to either get a job, or beg you. Either way, it will make him a better, more appreciative son. Good luck!
