Hi y'all! I have been a member for so long - my original introduction is buried! LOL!

I am Tana, 34, single mom of two girls.  I have been a single mom for almost the entire time I have been a mom.  My girls are 14 and 9. I have gone from foodstamps, medical cards etc. to owning my own home (with nothing left to pay on it).  It has been a long road, and there are always stresses and hardships, but taking each day and sometimes just faking it until you make it has gotten me through.

I look forward to getting to know you ladies better - I lurk more than post these days! LOL!

my name is serina. i am a 23 year old single mom to the most beautiful four month old boy... his dad left us a couple months ago after four years together for an 18 year old... she's prettier skinnier and younger than me lol.... well i'm having a rough time. just got back to work and am trying t9o make ends meet. his dad left me on a year lease at an 800 a month apartment and refuses to help pay for travin. he only sees him when its convinient. and his girlfriend called to let me know that i need to accept her being a part of my sons life... whatever lol. i'm here to get support from other moms who have been there done that and are better for it... and happy. i just want to be happy

Nice to meet ya Serina! I love your name - very pretty! Sounds like your ex is a real winner - he can join the club with the rest of our ex's LOL!

It's tough to make ends meet as a single parent - but it can be done! I hope you find exactly what you need in this group! We have a couple thousand members who can chime in with advice, friendship and encouragement!

Hello,

I am a single 40 year old working mom with a 2 year old daughter of Iraqi descent. We are going through potty training together currently. I have a pretty good job with great benefits which is a huge blessing at this time but I am miserable with the work and ready for a change. I am beginning to have health issues from the stress of the last 2+ years.

Also, I suddenly find myself part of the "sandwich generation" in that my dad aka "the rock (small "r")"  suddenly died two months ago without warning and my mom has had a stroke since his passing and is probably about to die. Her care, along with helping with my Dad's affairs over the past two months has been very demanding.

My daughter and I live pretty much in a cocoon. We sleep, go to work and daycare, come home and sleep again, pretty much the same every day since she was 12 weeks-- and this is what we do just to try to hold it all together. I moved cross country to be close to my parents last year (after 20+ years of being away from home, now that is the work of the Divine) but we have lived in such a cocoon that I don't have many friends in the area. I hope to lend support to other single moms out there and would ask for your support and wisdom. Thanks for being there.

Hello Ladies! My name's Amber and Im 21 years young.  I have an 11 month old babygirl. Her name's Savanna. We live in Virginia with my mom.  I tried to make it on my own and after 8 months we had to move back in.  I have been single since i was 6 months pregnant. We got back together off and on but it never lasted long.  He says he wants to have her for a couple weeks (haha! yeh right) but he doesnt even come visit her, or send money. Ive been doin' it on my own with the help of my mom as my babysitter. Its rough but we are better off with him gone.

Hi!  My name is Christina and I am 32 years old.  I have a son who will be 7 on the 17th of this month and a 3 and a half year old daughter.  I have been separated for over 2 years now and divorced offically for about a year and a half.  My ex and i have our ups and downs but for th emost part as long as I remember he is a selfish and a jerk we get along fine.  I don't liek him but I tolerate him.  I am working as much as I can but unfortunately my hours at work have been cut so I am trying to get by while taking classes to get my Master's Degree.  The road hasn't been easy but I'm making it!

hello my name is kristen. i am a single mom of 3 wonderful boyz. my older two children see their dad when his gf allows him. and my youngest sons father ( we are divorced yet ) but we have not seen or herd from him in almost a year. i am a full time student studyn criminal justic and working full time for jcpennys photo. between all this i also am a room mom and i do a mommie and me basketball class with my boys. i am started to be okay with the single life, but dont get me wrong it gets lonely from time to time. i hope to get to know you all
