been homeless? it doesnt have to have been like you were in a homeless shelter, but maybe spent a month couch surfing with a friend between places?

i was once for a few weeks. my ex bought a house and asked me if i wanted to rent it. i told him i could not affor to so he said he would rent it to me for 700. i moved in then he asks if his other kids mom and her kid (my sons half sister) could move in. i said hell to the fuck no. i dont hate her but i dont want to live w her. he asked again saying she had no place to go and could she stay temporarily. i said ok, for two weeks. that lasted 4 days and i told him she had to go or i was and he took her side so i took the boys and moved out. i left the boys at my moms for a week and couch surfed then got an apartment. i could have gone back to my moms but i felt stupid because trusthing him was a bad idea anyways.

No i never have,

My 2 best friends are, they both go from shelters to living with other people until they get kicked out...Its been going on for years, I dont know why they cant just get a job and get their self together..(i mean this has been going on for over 5 years) The last few months we kinda are drifting apart, Im getting tired of always having to pay for everything if we go out..We've been friends for over 10 years, she used to own her own place but she got evicted and ever since then she has been homeless.

I did for a short while- and as for getting a job- well I was injured in a car accident and was unable to work, but I didn't have a long enough work history to get disability and the insurance company wouldn't pay out a dime.

Thankfully I have never been put in the situation of not having a home to go to.

I was last year, 6 months pregnant with two small childrne to care for.  My now exH walked out one night, I was done with him and changed the locks the next day.  My mom and stepdad paid for an attorney and I filed for divorce.  In response to being served with the divorce my exH stopped paying rent - I'd been a SAHM since 2005 and of course he took all the $$ when he left - he also closed all of our account prior to leaving - so he knew he was leaving.  he sat through two separate landlord/tenant court dates and did and said nothing to try to keep the children and I with a roof over our heads, he in fact objected to an ajournment of 1 week so that my divorce attorney and teh landlord's arrorney could try to come to some agreement.  The day the judgment for possession was entered he later went and retained his own divorce attorney paying them $5,000.00.  The children and I ended up staying for 3 months in a DV safe house through the DV counselling center I was using - thank God for that!  My time at the safe house saw my divorce finalized and my winning a lifetime restraining order against him.  I'm now part of an exit program and still keep in touch.  They helped me get a car - he had ours repossessed the morning of our final property settlement hearing, he even sent me a picture of it being loaded onto the flat bed.  How the fuck did I ever love someone so heartless and cruel?
