The Woes of a Single Mother

It's days like these that I hate. I am so exhausted. Since I'm so tired, I'm depressed. I get that way when I have little sleep. Last night was so hard to get up when Sam cried. I just wanted to sleep but , had to get up. When he fusses, I am ready to scream (not at him). The sound is just so high pitched that I can't take it. I would have loved to sleep when he went back to sleep this morning, only he didn't. He woke up at 6.37 for food and has been up since. I'm praying he goes to sleep after his next bottle. I need rest!!!!!!

I need to let that out. Thanks for listening

You are not alone. We have all been there. I should go to bed when DS goes to bed but I can't. I usually stay up and then he wakes up about when I'm ready to go to bed or an hour later. Right when I hit GOOD sleep. :( I love him to death but I totally know what you mean. I'm almost ready to let him have a sleep over at my dad's just so I can get some sleep. ALMOST! Cheer up. Things will get better for you. Good luck and I hope you get a nap soon. :)

I have so been there. When I had my twins it took me a bit to realize to sleep when they do.  I would feed them and then stay up for the next 3-4 hours so I could get them again and then before I knew it I realized I was not sleeping at all.  I would start falling asleep everywhere.  To make things worse I had a two year old so there went daytime naps:)

Oh honey! I remember those days, and it was just a phase when my son was teething. My cure was adult strength oral gel and a dampened washcloth that I would put in the freezer. Once his little gums weren't bothering him, he went back to sleeping through the night. I hope you get a nap in today!

My son is only 7 weeks. Right now he's not sleeping. At all.

Oh boy, have I been there :)  It's usually those times when my son won't sleep that I send pissed-off text messages to his dad.  I figure, if I can't sleep, he shouldn't either :)

Passive-aggressive I know, but it makes me feel slightly better.

I'm so glad my son is old enough to entertain himself (to an extent)-- if he gets up early, I can cuddle up with him on the couch, he watches cartoons while I snooze.  It helps, a bit... but the days I have to work SUCK!

well, look aqt it this way, it will not last forever, your baby will eventually sleep the night. your son is 7 weeks so you def got some ways to go lol, my son started sleeping the night at 3 mnths, some will earllier and some will later. the  biggest thing is a schedule or at least do everything in a schedule, my sons 2 and has been having his bedtime at 7:30 since he was at least 6 months old...now its more 8ish but thats still great and he sleeps until 8am and has a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon...there is hope. haha but dont expect the tired feeling to go away til the are in grade school,,,,,im still exhausted all the time!!!! lol
