11 month old throwing tantrums

Lately my son has started throwing tantrums and bad. He'll start screaming throwing things down on the ground. I try to ignore it but after awhile it get's on my nerves so I put him in his crib shut the door and let him throw a fit in his room until I've calmed down. But I feel bad because I can hear him in his crib calling me a bad mama. He only does it when I tell him no. He's not even 1 yet, what the heck should I do?

Have the same-- very non-responsive- reaction each time he does it. Pick him up, put him in crib, let him have it out, ignore it, ignore what he's saying, when he calms down go in and don't even act like it happened. Dont go in irritated, or all cuddly/apologetic. It's not something that is probably going to "go away" any time soon, but hopefully giving him very little attention will lessen the frequency of them.
