Its my exs birthday today, he was suppose to pick up my son on friday and keep him for the whole weekend. Instead he preffered to party with his friends. Hes not consistant with visitation, only sees my son when he has nothing else to do. So im wondering, since my son is 3, if i should call him and pass the phone to my son to say " happy birthday". I have always done too much for my ex, im personally tired of it. But its his son saying it this time not me, should i call???

I don't mainly because my ex calls every night, so I just tell the kids that it's his birthday that day so they can tell him on the phone.

My daughter is 3 also, and I wouldn't... if he wants to hear his child say "happy birthday" he can call and tell them about it...

Nope, I would not call either.  My ex called on his birthday and did not mention to our son that it was his birthday.  I guess he was waiting for me to mention it, but I did not.  My son is eight and does not remember when his dads' birthday is and he does not bother to tell him, so why should I bother.

for my bd's last b-day all we did is send a txt saying " Happy Birthday Daddy   - Druw"

He rarely ever talks to his son and I figured a txt was more than enough
