And talked to her about my relationship problems. I never do that cuz I don't want her to hate bf. She said we need counseling :(

its super hard for me to talk to my mom too, but sometimes moms give good advice.. my mom and i have always had our ups and downs, but in the last few weeks i have really needed her, i wrote her a letter telling her i need her to be suppotive and proud of me, even if i dont make great choices all the time, and she took it so well, she told me she is goin to try to be a better mom and so far, i see a huge change! and maybe counseling would be good, ask ur man about it and see what he thinks.. it does help..

It may be a good idea...what does BF think of it?  Or haven't you mentioned it to him?

It might help to have a neutral party in the mix, helping y'all communicate more effectively. If M is open to it?

It may help if he's willing to go and make changes.

I think it becomes a problem when you are constantly going to other people and badmouthing/complaining about your partner.  But everyone needs someone to talk to sometimes.  That's good if you can talk to your mom about something bothering you.  Still, it's a good idea to do counseling.
