As I've posted before, I've been having lots of issues with my oldest son, Cameron, who will be 6 in March. He has issues with anger, following directions, etc. We went to a therapist for an evaluation in November, and she suggested seeing a psychiatrist and having a case manager come to the house and see what can be done around the house to help. We went last week to see the psychiatrist for an evaluation, after rescheduling once by my fault and again by a doctor change. She was wonderful. She seems to think that Cameron is borderline ADHD, which I've been wondering if that was part of the issue for a while, and sent home a questionaire for myself, hubby (step father) and his teacher to fill out and return next month when we have our next visit with her. So there's a little progress there. I'm still working to get us started in weekly family therapy. First it was Thanksgiving, then everyone was sick for about 2 weeks, then Christmas...I think we're back on a fairly normal schedule and need to get this started now. She was sent an email from the front desk last week when we were in the office to have her call me to set up our therapy session, but I still haven't heard back. I guess I'll be calling in the morning to see what's going on with her, or request another therapist since she has neglected to call me back after several messages on her voicemail and an email from the front desk. But today, the woman who is gonna be the case manager on Cameron's case called to set up an inital visit at the house to ask questions and get some paperwork filled out. Basically this will be our 3rd evaluation on the situation. It looks like we're finally making a little forward progress with the whole situation. I'm hoping to have things completely under control very soon.
