Kids on Facebook

That viral video got me thinking about some of the stupid sh*t I have seen young people posting on FB. I now have an age minimum and do not allow anyone under 18 to friend me (not even relatives). I have seen sexed-up photos, cyber bullying, excessive cursing (one F-bomb per sentence, please), and general teenage douchery.

Do you have young people on your FB? How old will your kids have to be before they use it?

I think if kids were involved in more physical activities and played outdoors they wouldn't be messing around so much online. Because when I was 13 I almost went and met a 20 yr old guy that I met online. I am gonna be restricting the computer to homework and supervised stuff.

There were no computer age in my young days.  We would rather be outside playing, than being cuuped up in the house over some social website.  No, kids really don't have a place be there.  It's bad enough with the ones I do know.

My son was 11 and I do have teens in my Facebook. I don't post inappropriate things on my page and the kids don't either. I'm very picky about who I friend and I delete if someone starts acting stupid. I've deleted friends off my sons list for stupid things too.

I don't add anyone to my facebook unless I went to school with them other wise I don't add anyone lol. Its like a school reunion without ever having to go to one in real life lol. My kids won't be on the computer unless doing homework or research about something or playing a game if I am watching. I'm computer nerd mom so I will block and child proof the Internet and set up a time limit they can be on it before it shuts off like at the Library.

I don't have any kids on my FB I think it's tacky, unless you block them from viewing things. I wouldn't let my kids on it.

I have a few young people on mine...its my sister, cousin, and a few kids i use to baby sit for...they are typical kids whine about nothing but no way disrespectful! I saw that video (the one with the dad who shots his kids laptop right) on the stir...i first saw a friend post on her fb but wasnt sure if it was a spam video but when i saw it on the stir i was like wow!!! thats so crazy....kids not even kids a lot of adults are very disrespectful this days its very sad. I know im going to try my hardest to make sure my daughter has better manners and respect for others than I do
