Last week I had 3 B's and 1 A. After kicking ass on tests this week I now have 3 A's and 1 B. I have one more test for the B one before Wednesday. Hopefully I can kick ass on that one too and have all A's. I am very proud of myself. lol

Sorry, just had to share. For all the young single Moms who think that they can't do college and have a child(ren) please reconsider. I have 2 and one more on the way. You just have to believe in yourself and maybe sacrifice sleep like I have been doing. My kids have also sacrificed their bedtime story a few times a week in exchange for a college textbook. When I want to give up, I look at my girls and know that I want better for them. It gives me the kick in the ass that I needed because they deserve better than what I can give them right now.

I believe in each and every one of you. If you want to go to college, don't use your kids as an excuse. Use them as a reason.

Bump!!!

I couldn't agree more! I'm a student myself. It can be hard, the hard work and perseverance pays off! It's also a great lesson for the kid(s), seeing mom work hard and getting an education. My mom was an on again off again college student simply because she loved learning. As a result, it instilled in me a desire to always gain knowledge. Whether it's for fun or for a specific goal, education is important

My Mom wants to go back to college and tried using me and my kids as an excuse not to go. lol We live with her. I told her she can't use us seeing as I am their mother and am doing it. lol

I agree with you that it is a great lesson for the kid(s). My oldest gets her notebook and pen out and colors while I do school work. She always asks me when is she going to school.

Have you thought about online classes? That is how I am taking my classes this semester and hopefully in the future as well. I still get to spend time with the kids and raise them, but I am also getting an education.

If you are comfortable taking online, how old is your son? If he is old enough, hand him a notebook and a pen/pencil/crayon/marker and let him do "School work" too. Trust me, it works. I've lost a lot of pens, but my 3 year old lets me study that way.

That's awesome. I have no idea where I'd find the time to go back to college. I've tried to work it out, and have applied at JR college 3 semesters but never enrolled in any courses because I just know I'll fail :-/

I agree. I'm in school too. Started my program pregnant. Had ds over break and went right back to it. I didn't want to take a break. I don't think I would have went back. Good job on your A's.

You are an amazing mom.  I don't know how old your child(ren) are, but you have set up a prime example of hard work and dedication, and I hope they see that for what it's worth and follow your example.  This is absolutely wonderful.  Keep up the hard work.  Your family is definitely worth it.
