I don't celebrate valentines day, even when I'm not single. What has become traditional for me is a small card/gift exchange between my mom and I, from the time I was a small kid. I now do the same with my baby girl. Tonight I had a date night with my Boogie (her nickname because she loves to dance) and it was awesome! Had a fattening dinner and ate junk at the movies. At the end of it all she said, "I like star wars, mommy! Thank you!" Awww may the force be with you, young jedi haha
Who needs a man for valentines day? I have the best date anyone can ask for! Haha
Do you guys give small gifts or have dates with your kid(s) for valentines day?

That's great! I always love hearing about other mommies doing this with/for their kids. For me personally, as a kid it made valentine's day special and I always cherished those memories. At 29, I still get my mom a card! Haha this year I got her one that says "grandma" on it, I can't wait to see her reaction. She always almost cringes at that title saying, "it makes me feel so old!" But I'm going to let my daughter color on it and "write" her name.

My mother has always given me a gift and told me how much she loves me on Valentine's Day. This is my first Valentine's Day as a mother. I am looking forward to sharing this day with my daughter. I now know a love stronger than I ever thought was possible.
