I've been seeing a man for a couple of months.  This is not yet a serious thing.  Last night we went out for dinner and drinks, returned to my house, and one thing led to another.  My eight-year-old daughter (who had been in the care of a sitter and was asleep when I got home) awoke to see my boyfriend and me kissing.  She just ran back into her room and slammed the door.  To be honest, I was a little relieved, since I didn't kow what to say.  What now?

Hey moms could you please leave some replies?  Thanks

You assure her that theres nothing wrong with mommy kissing the man. Explain that you really like this man and kissing is one way to show affection.

How long has her Dad been out of the house? Maybe she is feeling threatened just by the presence of another man in y'alls life? I would just go talk to her, let her tell you what she is feeling. My bet is it was less the kissing and more the surprise of seeing a man (whether it's been you and her for a long time so it's jealousy or she is afraid you're replacing her father)

And maybe keep home visits for when she isnt there, sleeping or not; until things get more serious and she has a chance to meet him in a better environment.

There are so many things to factor in here....how long has dad been out of the picture? is this the first time she has seen you with someone?  My advice would be to sae the home visits for when she is not home or go to his house until you are ready for them to meet and get to know each other.
