My ex-husband has now been moved to a half way house an hour from where I live and he thinks I should bring the kids to see him. UH no. I wouldn't take them to the prison to see him or the restitution center. These are not places that are appropriate for kids. He is trying to tell me that I am wrong, I'm sorry but I am not taking my kids to a place like that. So he says, my aunt can bring them then. NO, they don't even know his aunt, the last time she came near my kids they were scared. He just doesn't seem to understand that the divorce papers state that I have full custody and that visitation is up to me. The state don't even think its appropriate for him to pay CS because he is still considered an inmate. He can have a cell phone, walk the streets and he don't have to pay a dime in CS. If he didn't have to have one phone number to reach me then I would get my mom to change the house number, but the divorce papers say he has to have one number because of the kids. SO frustrating...vent over, I feel a little better now that I go it out.
Whats a restitution center?
I'm sorry I'm a Criminal Justice major and I throw terms out thinking everyone knows them lol. A restitution center is a place an offender goes to in order to pay his restitution (fines). Its a way for the state to help him get a job so he can pay the money back, it is better than sending an offender home to try and pay on their own.

Wow, thats crazy on the cs issue. You are so right. I wouldn't take my ds to a jail or halfway house either. Thats not a child appropriate setting.
