"you get shoes too. You choose not to wear them"
"you know why mom?! Because you buy cheap shoes!"
"I'm not buying you name brand shoes (insert name)". That's it"
"mom!! I'm not wearing them!!! You buy ugly and cheap shoes!!! Nobody wears that crap"
Right hand before God. I wanted to take her out myself. It's more sad than anything. How ungrateful our kids can sometimes be.
i would have wanted to take her out too. good thing the mom held her ground. if it was me, she would have only one pair of shoes and would have to get a job so she could buy herself expensive shoes. you always tend to lose your mind as a teenager but by that age my mother had clearly established that she would punch the crap out of me if i blatently disrespected her, in public no less.
you got punched too? LOL

My son always wants light up shoes. And his dad and I agreed, we are not paying for them. He has good shoes that last. If he wants light up shoes, at six years old, he can save his pennies and buy them himself.
Yes! I'm quick to tell my daughter to get a job!

that hawk eye. the one she gave you in church when you couldn't sit still in that pew. LOL. That one look speaks volumes!
Quoting zmama22:moosesmom - w/a quickness. and eventually she had the look down, so she didn't even have to hit me. i'm 40 years old and still scared of my mama. i could be in the middle of a story and about to curse, she'll give me that look, and i reign it in.
