My DD was conceived when I had a no contact order on my ex-husband. It was rape. I have learned to compartmentalize it and put it behind me. It is what it is and DD is the best gift I could ask for :-)

Are you in counseling? What has happened to the attacker?

Advice for all of these women - seek professional help that you LIKE
Not a therapist who will let you complain and blame everything on the rape - but one who helps you create a new life

The hardest part will be if you choose to keep the child.  It will be work every time the child misbehaves or does something stupid his/her whole life to bite your tongue.  You will carry the anger about the circumstances and the "feel sorry for yoruself"  every day for the rest of your life

But you can over come

Welcome to the group.  I agree with pps -- get professional help to learn to cope with it.  Joining a support group is also an excellent idea.
