Lately, DD5 has been coming home from pre-k talking about how she is going to go to heaven when she dies. And describing Jesus's crucifixion. I do not choose to have in-depth talk about religion until she is a little older. She said she learned these things from books during story time at school and from the teachers. This is not a religious school.
I know how to approach the subject with the staff, but it's DD I'm concerned about. Lately she has been asking about death and asking if she is going to die, too.
How would you talk to your young children if other people had been influencing them to have religious views contrary to what you'd teach them? And what would you say if your 5 y/o was asking such morbid questions?
