I am there when my girls get upset everytime he breaks a promise or decides not to get them. I can't take it anymore I wish he would leave them Alone they would be sad but once and not over and over again. Its hard to see their hearts broken so much

Welcome to the group.  It's hard watching their little hearts be broken, but that will lessen with time.  He's their father and there's not much you can do about it except be there when he hurts them.

It sucks but you keeping them from him will be worse. It's one I those things that We mothers have to accept that we can't protect our kids from the world.

My sons father was the same way. A year ago he died and he's still breaking my sons heart. My son is 4 and is having a hard time understanding death and is always asking when he will be alive again.

 i am sorry. my ex was the same way, it got to the point where i didnt tell my dd that he was coming until he called and said he was on his way.  and i documented every time he said he was coming but didnt and the details about each visit. hugs!
