Filing for custody tomorrow! Advice? Help?

My daughters are 5 months and have only seen their father 3 times?! At the beginning it was rocky and to make matters wierderr ... I was cool with his 1st baby momma . But now everything has totally changed. I do not speak to him or her and they are getting back together. The father does not want to see, hear, or know about our daughters so I want to go file for custody... Any advice or knowledge of this situation, I am super nervous....

What if the father does not show up later when mediation is scheduled? What if he does not respond at all?

I filed for child support so that's done.

He's mentioned to me that he's not going to show up or respond.
Will then the judge grant me the full custody? And I heard in California if I get granted full custody that they will put a restraining order against him?

Oh, and when I was cool with his baby momma I told her to tell him to agree on giving me full custody. He would tell her he didn't want to talk about it? If he doesn't want to know anything about the babies then y not just tell me he will do whatever I want, instead of ignoring me?
