those are questions im sure many of us would like answered I always thought there should be a separate day care for children when they are sick so I could still go to work (im in school now so not such a big issue unless its during finals) but I think the reasons behind this is the contagious factor they could all have different things and sick kids really need the comforts of home and momma at least I know my dd does im sure other moms feel that way too bad more places of employment didnt agree. Im sure you know the answer to the tv question cause they really dont want to work or be bothered with kids I would never allow my child to stay at a child care that just sat her in front of the tv i mean what the heck am i paying them for. and as for your last question regarding night hour daycare I think we may start seeing more of those around since so many people live alternative to what the norm is now a days in fact you may have just thought up a great new way to make money I bet with a little advertising you could get sufficient enrollment into a night day care to make a profit im not sure about overnights there may be some kind of liability with that and i can only speak for myself but i want my dd to lay her head in her bed in her home everynight I would feel uncomfortable with dd sleeping anywhere other than with me or a close family member and even the close family member I wouldnt want that to be a regular basis type deal kids thrive on consistency they need a good night sleep and I just dont feel they can get it in a strange environment
Do you live in miami florida
Good childcare is expensive and u get what u pay for. I go for level 2 or 3 for my kids so I know they get to learn and be with people who care about them.
I don't think and wouldn't think a place or sitter would take care of sick kids if they have other kids around.
There are some 24 hour daycares out there just have to look hard to find them.
Making sure your child is properly cared for is well worth the expense. Look for a site that has ratings for different daycares and tour them yourself to get a feel for the place. No matter where you go, having a child a medical condition is going to push the price up and the number of places willing to take him will decrease. I recommend day care centers, yes something can happen there as well but the risk goes down in my opinion than in a in home.
All questions that have crossed my mind! As far as sick children I understand, even if they did offer to take my daughter if she is sick I would still probably stay home because lets face it when I am sick I like to cuddle up & just relax at my home. Night time care would be awesome as well.
I know I have had to pass up many job offers because the hours wouldn't fit in with the general childcare hours =/ one job would have paid $14.50 an hour, instead I had to settle for $9 an hour simply because the hours are 9am-5:30pm mon-fri.
Also I'd love to do four ten hour shifts too so I could have three days off a week.
