How long after sex do you wait to take a pregnancy test? My periods are very irregular so a missed one is no indication.

normally only after a missed period for me..
but you'll need at least 2 weeks, preferably 4 for a more accurate test.
ETA: that is, 2-4 weeks after having sex.

I've wait a month from the time you had sex to know for sure since you're irregular :-)
