My son punched another kid at school! (PIOG)

I need your help mommas! My DS is 4 1/2 and is in pre-k. For the past week he has been going through an aggression stage. He will not stop hitting his classmates or throwing things at them. Today I go in to pick him up and hear crying from another child. I find out he punched this child in the face!!

I have tried everything to stop this behavior, but nothing works. Any ideas on how to stop this?  I'm at my wits end. He is hard to discipline as it is because he has SPD (sensory processing disorder). Please help me!

I don't know your son well enough to answer such a question.

As a preschool teacher, I'd find out more about his disorder to help him control his feelings in school.

As a parent I'd find a counselor to work with him on controlling himself and working with his disorder.

Is he in pre-k at an elementary school or daycare? Elementary schools have counseling and possibly a behavior specialist that can help you.

What's the teacher saying/doing?

Idk anything about that disorder, but Id talk to a counselor who does and get some suggestions from him.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond. My computer went down for a few days. He is in a daycare pre-k. His teacher just re-directs him or uses time outs. She said if he hits again she is going to call everyone together for a parent/teacher conference.

Have you checked with a counselor or his doctor to see if they have any ideas?
