My 7 yr old son has to wear pullups at nite. I thought it was his sleeping pill making him so tired he couldnt wake up. the dr says this is actually very normal to pee the bed at 7 yrs old, i dont agree. we even cut dwn on liquids and all that jazz. have even tried the bed wetting pill. im so frustrated and it gets so expensive!

My 4 heard reverted back to night wetting and our pediatrician said it is normal for boys up until 6-7 years old.

My kiddo was having issues with that too.  Turns out because he tends to get a bit constipated that his rectum was pushing on his bladder and he was wetting in his sleep and didn't even realize it til the deed was already done.

Miralax (at the doctor's suggestion) has helped a ton with the constipation issues and the wetting has lessened substantially since he started it.

bump, my dd is going through the same thing. i have tried no liquids after a certain time, waking her up in the middle of the night, charts. i have even taken away the pull ups but it is way too costly to wash sheets everyday. at her next doctor appointment i am going to ask her doctor about it. but i do feel like i just have to wait for her to outgrow it or mature a litte more so she can figure out how to wake up when she has to go.

My boy turns 9 this month and wets the bed every night. Pull ups are the only answer so far. Planning to try a bed wetting alarm after the first of the year. Life has been full of too many changes over the past few months...I figured a few more months of pull ups isn't the end of the world.

It is normal. It's actually normal for boys to wet the bed until they go through puberty.

Does he go to the bathroom before he goes to bed.  Maybe he's having nightmares that's causing it.  Ask for a referall for a sleep specialist to see what is going through his head that's causing the issues.
