So according to washington PA I do qualify for food but not medical. So I was wondering if any of you ladies knew of a decent insurance plan that my son and I can get on for 100 or less a month and little to no co-pay. I am coming here for advice, not to be bashed so please keep any snarky comments to yourself. And before any of you assume I'm living off the state I do work I just don't make enough to afford everything I need which I'm working on. I am finally getting out of debt and am able to start saving money and hopefully will be off assistance soon.

Not for that cheap. I can't even get that through my employer. For my son and I through work its $600 a month plus $1000 deductible and copayments.

When I was looking I didn't find anything with what you're expecting. I hope you find something.

You can't get it that cheap. Check with whoever you have car insurance through. Sometimes you can get a discount for multiple policies with the same company.

I don't if this will help you but some hospitals will help families without insurance based on income. Thtis information is dated so I don't know if it still applies but if I remember correctly if the hospital takes federal funding...If you can check  the hospital's website or call they may have something available. Years ago when my ex was out of work & I really needed to see a specialist I was able to with this kind assistance.

I have no clue about premium amounts. Id Google health insurance comparisons. I know theres a site that lists different companies, but dont remember what its called. Funny how you qualify for fs but not medical. Im in OK and my dd qualifies for medical but Im way over income for fs. Hmmph.

You'll never find anything that low. If you don't qualify for Medicaid or whatever then you're screwed. That's the horrid thing about healthcare in this country. So many sure not poor enough for free insurance and not well off enough to afford the overly expensive alternative.

Does your county have a County Indigent program? I would contact your County about that. It's just limited who you can see..I think. I have also looked into Unicare before but I am not sure if you'll get the price range you'd like. Good Luck! :)

So I just was googling Unicare...and for my county I did find a program for under $100/month..but now that is my county but definitely worth trying.
