1 mom liked this

Oh, I was in an ugly place when I was 16....   I think I would give myself a big hug, tell myself that I am treasured and worthy of being alive and well, and that no matter how difficult life is, it is precious.

"Listen to your family, they only want what's best for you! You deserve SO much better. Don't settle for this. Don't settle for him!!"

Hmm that was only 3 years ago but I think I would have told myself to get out of the relationship I was in. It was so tough.

To pay attention to red flags in a person.  They are VERY telling.

Don't start college as a theatre major, do it as a business major instead because thats what you'll end up as!

That was a really hard time for me. I would say; stay in school-don't drop out and that it Does get better !

At 16? Study harder and bring up your grades. Other than that, I was a good kid at 16. It was around 19 I started my spiral down.

I wouldn't tell her anything really. How do you explain that life will never get better? The only advice I could give is lower your morals if you don't want to be such an outcast, but if at 29 I haven't been able to do it, she wouldn't at 16.
