First birthday?

I need help with my daughter's first birthday. Did people do big or small? Theme? Location? I need help!

I did my daughters sorta big at my ex mother in laws house I say big cuz my family is big lol her theme was hello kitty her second year at my moms theme minnie mouse I did her cake third party my moms house with a moon walk castle n a princess cake that I did for her as well hope those ideas helped

I have had a theme for every birthday my kids have ever had. We always buy a cup that goes along with the theme so through out the years the kids have a tangible memory to remind them of that party. My DD fav was the my little pony birthday and my son likes the spiderman one he had.

We never do anything big. Just family, we had one actual party one year and it was fun but not all the time.They are always at my house or my moms house

First birthdays I did big, themed parties, but after that I did smaller parties either at my house or my moms house and only invited immediate family and sometimes a few close friends.

For my son it was just a smaller one at home with family members.
