where can i find out what the different deffinitoins of custody ie sole, physical ect??

Physical is actually having the child.
Legal is decision making power.

You can have one, both or partial one or both.

Generally an unwed mother has sole (full) legal and physical custody. Meaning dad has nothing until court says so, but that varies by state

your states statutes will also give you definitions. or a family law website. I'm the primary residential parent. my son lives w me. he spends every other weekend w his dad and every thursday nite. all decisions are to be made by both of us.  usually what I  say goes if he doesn't agree.
