Its probably too late to have it done this year.
The CSE office has to turn over their names and information to the Irs and then they send warning letters and eventually take the return. It takes time to do the paper work and stuff which is why I say its probably too late for this year.
Your best bet is to contact your local CSE office and have them put things in motion if they havent already. That will at least make sure its done on the future if it needs to be.
He also has to be $500 behind before they will do take the return unless you get TNAF.

It's automatic here too. If they non custodial parent is behind the tax refund is intercepted then sent to the custodial parent. You dont have to do a thing.

It should be automatically taken out if the parent files taxes. My ex works under the table so his income is basically invisible to the government lol

My ex is way over $1,000 in support but I have never gotten anything from his return. I even tried calling the support office with no help. They said it should be flagged once he files but they can't do anything.
